Users review: Childhood is the most rewarding film I saw at the Sundance Film Festival. Linklater somehow manages to capture the true experience in 12 years of living in a beautiful and moving film three times. You feel a real connection with the characters as you literally watch them age right before your eyes. Q & A Then, with Ethan Hawke, Patricia Arquette and Richard Linklater amazing. Something tells me that this is a movie everyone is talking about all these years and I can not wait to see it again. The version I saw did not actually complete. No audio background, the loan is not made and no musical score - just some temporary songs used to tell the audience what year (though I pray they keep the Arcade Fire song, it actually makes perfect final) I I am also very glad to know what things are edited. 3 hour film consisting of pure dialogue really did not sell well ... Even still, it feels like a coherent piece of this epic in every way. |
